Material
2/3 cup salted butter, softened
Half sugar
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/1 2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Grease cookie sheet, set aside.
Step 3: In a medium bowl, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together, set aside.
Step 4: In a large bowl, with an electric mixer set on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, beat butter and sugar together.
Step 5: sour cream, add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating well until blended.
Step 6: Stir the flour mixture, mixing well.
Step 7: chocolate chips and chopped nuts (optional) Stir in.
Step 8: 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheet, drop dough by tablespoons.
Step 9: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Immediately transfer cookies to a cool surface.
Makes about 40 cookies.
