Here are some cool Receipes on cherry Desserts

Cherries are not only beautiful desserts they're doing good. Try these delicious desserts for your family and friends to please. Cherries and Cream Parfait is very easy to make and they are beautiful enough to serve to guests. And the little ones will enjoy their dessert along with the adults. Fantasy is a delicious dessert cherry cherry on top of a nut-brown sugar crust. Yummy! The Cherry Cream Dessert is a gelatin dessert with cream cheese and sour cream. It's a perfect summer dessert!

CHERRY & cream parfaits

1 cup whipped cream
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1 cup sour cream
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

In a bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, vanilla sugar and continue beating the salt until stiff peaks form. Fold in sour cream. Remove six cherries from the cake and set aside. Spoon half of pie filling in bottom of six parfait glasses, top with half the cream mixture. Repeat the layers. Add the reserved cherries on top of each parfait. Add a sprig of mint to each of the parfaits, if desired.

Note to diabetics: This recipe can be made for people with diabetes by making the following substitutions: Splenda instead of sugar granules and lite cherry pie filling made with Splenda instead of regular pie filling.

CHERRY FANTASY CRUST:

2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup butter
1 / 2 cup brown sugar
1 / 2 cup chopped nuts

In a medium bowl, mix the above ingredients by mixing the brown sugar and flour together. Add butter and cut in as if to make the dough. Add the chopped nuts and press mixture onto bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Allow crust to cool. Crumble and spread evenly in pan.

Filling:

2 cups whipped cream
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
2 cans cherry pie filling
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla *

Whip the cream and set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla together until well blended. Fold in whipped cream and cherry pie filling. Pour filling over crust. Cool overnight before cutting to serve.

* To change the flavor a bit, use 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring and 1 / 2 teaspoon almond flavoring.

CHERRY Cream Dessert

2 pkgs (3-ounce) black cherry flavored gelatin *
2 cups boiling water
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 / 2 cup sugar *
1 / 2 cup chopped pecans
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 can cherry pie filling *

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water and pour in a 9 x 13-inch bowl or pot, refrigerator until firm.

Mix cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla, sugar and chopped pecans and stir in pineapple. Spread the mixture over the set gelatin. Chill. Top with pie filling before serving.

* You can easily convert it into a diabetic or low sugar dessert by using sugar-free gelatin, granular Splenda instead of sugar and no added sugar, Splenda-sweetened pie filling!
