Famous French Choux Pastry

Want to control technology, which allows you to produce an incredible variety of lovely French cakes right into your kitchen? Good news for those of you who love elegant cakes but are perhaps not the most talented cooks, that makes French Choux pastry is dead easy. And it really is the foundation for so many desserts - you can even invent your own.

What is Choux pastry anyway? If you've never had a cream puff, you've been Choux pastry products. It is a very simple concoction made from water, butter, flour and eggs. Pastry dough itself is sticky and seem hopeless, but when you put it in the oven, it inflates spectacularly.

Secret swelling cream cushions are a mix. All you need is a strong hand. Or I guess could use a mixer if you have already visited the gym today. I make this sound more difficult than it is! Do not be intimidated. As I said, it's easy! Choux pastry when you're down, you can make all the cream cushions as you want within a few minutes.

But do not stop there. You can try one of these elegant French cakes now that you know how to make Choux pastry. (As you go down the list, the cakes get more complicated.)

Chouquettes: These are small puffs without the cream, topped with big grains of sugar, a little sweetness. French Kids love these snacks, and they would quickly fix to-treat any time. I do not even let my kids have them for breakfast.

Snow Balls: OK these you know. Fill the cream cushions and custard, chocolate pudding, whipped cream, or whatever you want. You can sprinkle them with icing sugar or drizzle them with chocolate or caramel. Get your imagination, there are no rules.

Eclairs: These are small oblong cakes made Choux pastries. They are traditionally filled with chocolate or coffee cream and than iced with fondant taste the same. Rum and raspberry flavored eclairs, sometimes also made in France.

Religion: large cream puff, cream puff with a baby riding on top. Puffs are filled with a variety of creams, ice-covered tops and maybe a little butter cream for decoration final;

Profit Role: You may have had these in a French restaurant. Three or four pillows filled with whipped cream and chocolate sauce is drizzled on top. Of course, you can do it, and different fillings. Yum. See, this is an elegant dessert, it's not a lot of work at all!

Paris-Brest: This is a wheel-shaped cake, which was originally made to celebrate the bicycle race from Paris to Brest, France on the Atlantic coast. The cake is cut in two and filled with praline cream, then top with the icing sugar has been forgotten, and almond slices.

Saint-Honoré: This is still an amateur. The database layer pastry dough on a ring full of cream puffs then topped with hardened caramel. Whipped cream is mounded in the center before serving.

Croquembouche: a masterpiece of French Choux pastry desserts. Mountain filled with cream cushions are held together by caramel and further decorated, perhaps the almonds. It is a special cake reserved for special events in France and you can see it at weddings and christening parties.

Salty spray

Unswettened Choux pastry can also make French appetizers. Bite-size puffs filled with cheese spreads, salmon mousse, foie gras or whatever suits you. Would not it be nice to the next party?
