Easter cup cakes

Making delicious cupcakes Easter is an easy way to entertain children during school holidays. Those involved in the preparations for the celebration of Easter is a great way to get them amused, and give you a little help from all the hard work.

Making Easter cupcakes together is also a good way to introduce them to the basics of baking and use of the kitchen.

Easter cupcakes are easy to make and is a nice alternative to the Easter eggs. They can be decorated in many different ways, sprinkles, edible glitter and edible Easter shapes to create themes.

This easy to follow recipe makes 12 small cakes.

You have the following Easter cupcake ingredients

2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
125g/4oz caster sugar
125g/4oz soft margarine
125g/4oz self-raising flour

And baking utensils

A muffin tin or cupcake tin
Paper cupcake cases
A wire cooling rack

Cupcake Decorations

Basic powdered sugar (icing sugar mixed with water or margarine for butter icing)
Marshmallows
Cupcake sprinkles, choices are available at most grocery stores and cooking shops
Stir to write glaze
Candy, mini Easter eggs

Make cupcakes

Start by preheating the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4th

Then crack the eggs into a large bowl and add sugar, vanilla and margarine. Turn them into a smooth mixture.

Next sieve the flour into the bowl together and beat mixture until smooth.

Place a paper cupcake cases in each muffin tin holes and each of the cases, half fill the cupcake mix.

Bake in center of oven for about 18 to 20 minutes or until they are grown, has become a golden brown and spring back into shape when lightly pressed.

When cooked, remove from oven and place the cookies on a wire rack rack to cool before decorating.

When cool cupcakes can be decorated with icing and a base of edible cake decorations to make your Easter themed treats to create.
