Makeup Tips.

Ten Makeup Tips You Need.

1. Moisture, moisture, moisture! Any make-up regime should start with clean, moisturized skin. Find a moisturizer that works for you (preferably with an SPF of 15 or higher) and use it religiously! Not only will it protect you from skin cancer, but your skin will hold make-up much better.
2. If you're short on time, use mascara at the very least! A thin coat on your upper and lower lashes can make a world of difference. You can go from looking tired to wide-awake with this one simple step. Another mascara tip: never pump the wand in the tube! Instead, twist it to get more mascara on the applicator. 3. A great way to make your eyes look bigger, brighter and more energetic—which celebrities use all the time—is to put a light colored shadow in the inner corner of each eye. Sweeping the same shade on your brow bone enhances this effect.

4. Take care of your lips! For some reason our lips are often left out of our skin care routine. Don't make that mistake! You should moisturize your lips every night with Vaseline or a thick lip balm. When you wake up, gently rub your lips with a toothbrush or a damp washcloth. This will get rid of any flakes and make your lips the perfect canvas for gloss and lipstick.

5. Groom your eyebrows! Eyebrows have an incredible effect on your look. It's important to keep them neat and shaped, but something that people often overlook is filling in sparse areas. With a little eyebrow pencil your look can go from blah to sophisticated in a flash!

6. Use foundation! Many women can't be bothered with it, but it works wonders in evening out your skin tone and provides an excellent base for the rest of the makeup you will use. But be careful: it's very important to choose a shade that's as close to your natural skin tone as possible. Anything different will leave you looking unnatural, as if you are wearing a mask.

7. Blush is a great way to make your skin look healthy and radiant. There's a simple trick to avoid looking like Bozo the clown or your niece's favorite baby doll: smile! It allows you to find the apples of your cheeks easily. Start there and apply it in an upward motion towards your temple. Doing it this way ensures that you'll highlight the places the sun would naturally hit your face. When you're done, step back and take a look at yourself in the mirror. Blend in where it looks harsh and if it looks too dark, swipe your cheeks with powder, which will help tone down the color.

8. When choosing eye makeup, pick a shade that contrasts your eye color rather than one that matches it. This will result in a look that makes your eyes pop out. The best colors for brown eyes are green and gold, which will pick up the colored flecks in your eyes. If you have green eyes, lavender and mocha look best. And for blue eyes, brown and rose colored shadows contrast the coolness of your eyes, making them pop out.

9. The key to creating a dramatic nighttime look is simple: smudge away! After putting on your eyeliner, go over your upper and lower lashes with a dark colored shadow and smudge, smudge, smudge. Put a slightly lighter shade on the crease, and a shade a bit lighter up to your brow line. Smudge the edges of each color so that they gently blend together and seem to almost melt into each other. Lastly, apply a few coats of mascara.

10. After you're finished applying your makeup, lightly dust your face with a translucent powder. It will set your makeup and keep you looking nice and fresh!.
